In Borderlands 3, the next event week starts. In the “Rare Spawn Hunt,” you can chase rare enemies that can drop legendary loot.
When does the event start? The second week of the 10-year Borderlands anniversary celebration begins. The “Rare Spawn Hunt” event starts today, on October 8 at 6 PM.
This is what it’s about: After you were able to farm bosses joyfully last week , the focus is now on rare spawns. These are special enemies that usually have their own name and can randomly appear in certain locations.
These are the 14 rare enemies
This is what happens in the event: During the “Rare Spawn Hunt,” a total of 14 rare spawns will guaranteed appear at their assigned locations for one week. Additionally, the chance of dropping legendary loot is increased. This is the opportunity to grab new legendary weapons.

- El Dragon Jr – “Unleash the Dragon,” legendary artifact
- Road Dog – “Redline,” legendary shotgun
- Indo-Tyrant – random customization item

- The Unstoppable – “Band of Sytorak,” legendary shield
- Thunk and Sloth – “It’s Piss,” legendary grenade mod
- Maxitrillion – “The Horizon,” legendary shotgun
- Borman Nates – “Psycho Stabber,” legendary pistol
- Princess Tarantella II – “Hive,” legendary rocket launcher
- Dragon Mother – random legendary artifacts

This is how you participate in the event: The event begins with the help of a micropatch that will be deployed on Tuesday night at 6:00 PM. It is recommended to stay online for a while and linger in the main menu to ensure the patch is installed correctly.
Anniversary not over yet
This is what happens next: With the “Rare Spawn Hunt,” the second part of the anniversary celebration begins. Afterwards, the following events will continue:
- October 15 – 21: “Show me the Eridium!”
- October 22 – 28: “Chaos on Twitch!”
- October 29 – November 4: “A spooky surprise”
It is very likely that the final surprise will be related to the Halloween event “Bloody Harvest”:
