The new update in Borderlands 3 makes the Trials more rewarding and buffs Moze. Here’s what else is included!
The changes went live as usual on Thursday evening via hotfix. Wait a few seconds in the main menu until the “Hotfixes Applied” sign appears, then the changes are active.
More loot from Trials and gambling
There is more loot here: While the mini-event with legendary weapons from machines is ending, new loot events are starting. The first is called “Trials Take-All” and increases the yield in the trial areas. The rewards will be stronger, bosses have a 100% chance to drop specific equipment from their loot pool.
Additionally, “Slot Machine Mania” begins. When you gamble at slot machines, you now have a very good chance of pulling legendary weapons. However, more exploding grenades can also come from the machines – so caution is advised. Both events will run for a week.

Finally buffs for Moze
This is being improved: For a long time, fans of the gunner had been hoping for buffs for their vault hunter. These are now being delivered – and Gearbox announced that they want to correct a few more issues with Moze in the future. The first set aims to improve her survivability and looks as follows:
- The cooldown for Iron Bear has been reduced, the fuel amount increased
- Bonuses of the skills “Behind the Iron Curtain”, “Safety Bear”, and “Experimental Ammo” have been increased.
Changes in weapons: Alongside Moze, the weapon balance of some items has also been adjusted. Among other things, the recently popular “Lob” has been readjusted: The fire rate has been increased, but the number of bullets has been reset from three to one. It remains useful nonetheless. Additionally, Hyperion weapon shields have been strengthened and the following weapons have been improved:
- Damned
- Tiggs Boom
- Moonfire
- Good Juju
Especially Moze players should be excited about the update, as well as anyone wanting to collect loot from the Trials. Use the buffs to try out some strong new builds at max level!
