Feeling like a “flavor explosion”? Then you should get this rocket launcher in Borderlands 3, as it fires hamburgers!
Borderlands 3 has been out for a while, and little by little, players are uncovering all the secrets and rewards that the game has to offer. One of the more quirky weapons is the “Gettleburger”. As the name suggests, this weapon has something to do with hamburgers, even though you probably shouldn’t eat them.
What makes the Gettleburger weapon so special? The Gettleburger rocket launcher has a number of special properties that are not only interesting in gameplay but also look funny. First, the Gettleburger has an animated skin. Dozens of hamburgers slowly glide over the surface of the weapon, ensuring there is always some movement.
But the fired projectiles are also special – as the rocket launcher shoots hamburgers! Upon exploding, the hamburger is torn apart, causing buns, meat, and lettuce to scatter in all directions. If the hamburger collides with an enemy, it not only explodes but also splits into two more hamburgers, which then explode again.
Additionally, the hamburgers fly ballistically, meaning their trajectory describes a slight arc. This results in shorter range, but skilled players can shoot over obstacles.
How to get the weapon: The good news is that the Gettleburger is not a random drop. You don’t have to farm bosses and hope to see the weapon. Instead, you can obtain the Gettleburger as a guaranteed reward at the end of a side quest.
You can find the quest on Promethea after you have completed the first quests of the main mission there. Simply talk to Lorelei to take on her side quest, where you need to fetch a cup of coffee. Afterwards, Lorelei will also want something to eat, and you need to get the “Dynasty Diner” running again. For this, you need to gather some items and fight through waves of enemies.
The quest is quite long but not particularly complex. After you hand Lorelei her burger, you will receive the Gettleburger directly in your inventory and can start distributing burgers yourself!
