Today a new patch goes live in Borderlands 3. This time it includes only minor hotfixes – but a really annoying bug is being fixed.
When is the patch coming? The small update is supposed to go live on all platforms by 9:00 PM. As usual, you will recognize it by the sign “Hotfixes Applied” that should appear in the background of your main menu when you stay there for a few seconds.
Before the new patch, the Heartbreak Day event will also end, which was introduced last week with the big February patch. This also brought a lot of other changes. The new patch this week is much clearer.
DLC boss stops loot toss
This is what’s in the new patch: The new patch does not bring any previously unknown features, but focuses on a few bug fixes. The probably most important one concerns the boss “Fabricator” from the Moxxi DLC.
The Fabricator can drop the quite powerful “ION CANNON”. However, the term “drop” in the sense of “dropping” was not always correct here. Because time and again the boss would fire its loot directly off the map after the fight, where it could no longer be retrieved. This bug has now been fixed. Additionally, there are other corrections:
- Players could exploit to open the rare chest on Slaughterstar 3000 by using the Iron Bear. This has been corrected.
- Oversphere enemies sometimes did not shoot their lasers in TVHM or Mayhem mode
- The balance of Tony Bordel and Petunia in Mayhem mode has been adjusted
