In Fallout 76 there will be no human NPCs. The players represent the population and can trade with each other. You can learn about how exactly you can exchange goods and whether it will be necessary here.
The upcoming Fallout 76 will be primarily a mix of survival and MMO RPG. On a vast map, you will be exploring together with other players, building settlements, completing various quests, and also selling your loot to other players.
But what will the trading system look like and how important will it be for Fallout 76? We have looked at the known information.

Trading in Fallout 76 – What we know so far
How will trading be done? You will be able to open a trade window at any time through the quick selection and trade with other players anywhere. You can craft your own goods and sell them to other players. You set the prices yourself; you can also just give away items if you feel like it.
Additionally, you have the option to simply throw items on the ground or store them in containers for others to find.

There will also be trading posts that do not belong to players. These are scattered throughout the world and run by robot NPCs.
What will be used for payments? True to the Fallout theme, bottle caps will be used as currency. You will receive them through
- trading with other players
- quests that you complete
- events, that you can finish with other players
- and by finding them in the game world
Can you steal goods from other settlements? You will be able to steal less valuable items like fruits and vegetables, but it will have consequences. The details of this are still unknown.

These things are still unclear
Are there any restrictions? Currently, it is not known whether there will be restrictions. We do not know whether cosmetic items that can be purchased for real money can simply be resold to other players for bottle caps.
It is also unknown whether there will be special gear that cannot be sold.
Can players open their own shops? Apparently, players will be able to open their own trading posts in their C.A.M.Ps. Whether these can be managed by NPC robots is still unknown. It is only known that Bethesda has already experimented with such shops.

What about the perk cards? Currently, it is only known that you can exchange perk cards with your comrades. Whether these can also be sold in shops is not confirmed yet.
Trading is just an optional path
How important will trading be in Fallout 76? Those who now worry that trading between players is a necessity can rest easy. According to Pete Hines, Vice President of Marketing at Bethesda, the exchange of goods is only a possible route for the players.
What if you just want to be a loner who simply uses the environment to survive and builds what he needs? Who uses the workshops available in the wasteland? That should all work.

In keeping with the tradition of previous Bethesda games, you can also manage completely without selling gear and other items.
How else can you obtain necessary resources? By disassembling equipment and exploring the game world, you should obtain enough material to completely avoid trading with others.
What do you think? Are you looking forward to being a trader, or will you rather avoid the system? Write in the comments.
