Blizzard’s Hack’n Slay Diablo 4 is about to receive its first expansion, Vessel of Hatred. Some features are currently being tested on the PTR, the test server. The server is open from September 4 to September 11. The Community Lead warns testers, however: If you play this now, you will encounter even more bugs than usual.
This is what the Community Lead says about the test server for Diablo 4:
The Patch 2.0 will start now on the test server – the download has been active since Friday. The Community Lead Adam Fletcher says (via twitter):
Just a reminder: This is a PTR. Things will be broken. Some things may not work quite as intended. This is normal, as it is an early build.
We expect this on this PTR more than on previous ones, as we have made many more changes. However, the feedback we receive during these tests is important!
This is his request: The Community Lead is asking for feedback, and a large thread will be opened in the forums to collect the known bugs.
Expansion revises many systems and brings features back
Here’s what to expect on the PTR: Blizzard has summarized in a blog post what to expect on the PTR. The server will be open from September 4 to September 11 and will give you the opportunity to test the features of the new expansion before they go live for everyone.
Among other things, there is to be a new difficulty system, updates to the Paragon and the Glyph system, a revision of item quality, and new skills for each class.
Major features also include Rune Words that remind of Diablo 2, and a new Party Finder.
However, on the PTR you will not find any content related to the campaign or the new class from the expansion. The runes will not be available until Friday, then you will get them from the “Boost NPC”.
