Blizzard sells the Collector’s Edition of Diablo 4 in the official Gear Store. However, if you order through the EU site to Germany, you will be greeted with almost €80 in shipping costs. That’s significantly more than just a few weeks ago – and apparently a mistake.
What is the shipping cost? In the official Gear Store for the EU, shipping for the Collector’s Edition – specifically, the Collector’s Box – costs €78 for standard shipping and €86 for express shipping. That is more than the standard edition of Diablo 4, which costs €69.99 and is already quite expensive.

The price for the CE itself adds on top of that. With the cheaper shipping, you’re looking at a staggering €187.66 and you won’t even get a game for that. You would have to buy that separately, which brings it over €200 for the game + Collector’s content.
The increased prices currently only affect shipping to Germany from the EU store.
Should it be this way? Probably not. The displayed price is apparently a mistake that occurred even during the announcement of the Collector’s Edition. At that time, there was a problem with the calculation of import prices.
Until a few weeks ago, shipping was still priced between €20-30. Apparently, an update in the shop is responsible for the now higher prices being displayed.
In the forum, there is already a large discussion on the topic, in which a customer service employee has responded. They have forwarded the feedback, noting that shipping from the UK store is currently cheaper.
We inquired with Blizzard about what is going on with the prices. An answer is still pending.

The problem is apparently costing Blizzard some sales at the moment. Even though the game is not even included in the Collector’s Box, some fans are reporting in the forum that they would have purchased the content. The Collector’s Box includes:
- Creation candle – a double-sided electric candle featuring the likenesses of Lilith and Inarius
- Occult mousepad
- Fabric map of Sanctuary
- Horadrim pin
- Diablo IV Collector’s Edition Art Book – an art book with over 300 pages
- Matte art prints (x2) – 47.09 cm x 27.40 cm
They would definitely not do that for an additional charge of €80, especially since that is hard to imagine. One user writes: “If I were an individual sending via DHL to Spain, it would cost me €31.99 for a package up to 20 kg. However, you, or the shop operators, surely have special conditions with your shipping provider.”

Since the shop currently also shows final prices above €180, it can be assumed that you really have to pay that at the moment. If you want to avoid hassle and stress, you should probably wait with your order. Alternatively, you can order through the UK store, where although the box itself is €3 more expensive, shipping only costs between €14 and €42.
