Watching Twitch is Rewarded
To reward the community on Twitch, they could crown the most active and loyal viewers in various categories and the games Hearthstone, World of Warcraft, Starcraft 2, Heroes of the Storm, and Diablo 3. The winners then shared the pool of a total of $113,000 – not peanuts. Prizes were awarded for each game in the following categories:
- Most Active Viewer
- Most Dedicated Viewer
- Most Engaged Viewer
- Most Active Hoster
- Most Active Chat
- Highest Mean Viewership

It sounds a bit absurd at first that they even give money to viewers, doesn’t it? However, it was probably a successful action by Blizzard to engage the community even more on a valuable network like Twitch.
