The standard edition of Diablo 4 costs 70 euros on PC. However, not all players have to pay for it if they draw enough attention to the action RPG.
Who gets Diablo 4 for free? Content creators who meet certain conditions.
A few days ago, Adam Fletcher, Global Community Development Director for Diablo 4, stated that creators can sign up for a campaign to receive a free PC code (via twitter.com).
You can find out what the conditions are here. If you’re still looking for leveling tips, check out our video:
How do you get into the club? Fletcher’s tweet leads to a page called “Woovit,” an influencer platform. Here are the general conditions for a free PC code:
- Invitation from the publisher
- Operate a Twitch account with “Partner” or “Affiliate” status
- On YouTube, you need 1,000 subscribers, at least five times as many channel views, 5 published videos in the last 90 days, and 240,000 viewer minutes
- Pass an additional data verification
The conditions can certainly be met by hobby streamers, but not by regular players who want to participate in the action quickly.
So you already need a certain community or at least 3 loyal viewers on Twitch who regularly support you during streams. The affiliate status on Twitch is probably the easiest to achieve:
- Streamed at least 500 minutes in the last 30 days
- Streamed on 7 different days in the last 30 days
- Average of 3 viewers in the last 30 days
- At least 50 followers
Although “easy” is easy to say here. Even these numbers can be hard to achieve on the competitive streaming platform Twitch. Some small streamers have been trying for ages just to get the affiliate status.
All other players have no choice but to dig into their own pockets. After all, the tests and reviews for the action RPG look extremely good, and there are many fans here at MeinMMO.
Including colleague Benedict Grothaus. You can find his detailed preview report here: Diablo 4 in review: Purists will hate it because it’s too much an MMO – But I love it
