A blind player defeats the hardest boss of Diablo 4 and claims he achieved this through a lot of practice.
Which boss are we talking about? Diablo 4 is one of the games where you grind for hours, upgrade your gear, optimize your build, and then dive into the next challenge. A particularly tough challenge awaits players at the very end of the game – Uber Lilith.
The Daughter of Hatred makes one last appearance and throws everything she has at you. To successfully come out of the fight, you need an optimal balance of offense and defense, a good build, and an understanding of the boss fight mechanics.
Now a blind player has achieved the unthinkable and successfully defeated Uber Lilith.
Which player is it? The YouTube user “Tylenphye” has published a video in which he defeats Uber Lilith solo at level 97. Tylenphye notes that he is blind, completely without functional eyesight.
However, Tylenphye is not a famous YouTuber or anything similar; his channel has 16 subscribers and the video has almost 1,400 views after nine days.
Moreover, in the 2.5-minute video, there is only footage of him defeating the boss with his Necromancer – accompanied by the player’s screen reader, which provides him with information such as damage dealt and his own health points.
You can watch Tylenphye’s video here:
In the comments under the video, a user asked whether he cannot see at all or if he can recognize colors or outlines.
Tylenphye explained that he can perceive light and can, for example, tell whether the sun is shining or not. However, when gaming, he relies completely on audio cues and – if available – accessibility settings.
How did he achieve this? As Tylenphye reveals in the comments under his video, he was only able to accomplish the run through a lot of practice.
A second player acted as a “visual translator” for several hours, describing to him what happens on the screen and when:
We worked on learning the mechanics and movements (including timing and distance in movement) to link them with the screen reader and audio cues in the game. The rest was timing for the mechanics in general.

Overall, the two are said to have learned together in three sessions, each lasting “more than 6 hours”. Additionally, Tylenphye practiced another 30 hours separately.
Ultimately, he was able to complete the run mostly without assistance: “I moved on autopilot for most of the run, with a little input when my memory failed.”
In conclusion, Tylenphye states that he has managed to defeat Uber Lilith seven times since the video’s release and has accompanied another blind person without a “visual translator”.
