In Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Treyarch has prepared something special for Christmas: Zombies with hats. However, players would prefer bonus EXP for the holidays and a fix for issues on the Xbox One X.

It is cold in the world of Blackout – Where have all the zombies gone? Are they dead again? Or are they planning something special for Christmas?
Then the zombies actually disappeared for a few days with the update on December 21. Players were puzzling: What does Treyarch have planned for a special feature?
Here’s what happened for Christmas: Just in time for Christmas, on December 24, the zombies returned to Blackout. However, they changed a bit; now they wear holiday hats. But they still aren’t very cuddly, as they still want brains. That probably will never change.
As the site Dualshockers reports, there is also a new spawn point for the zombies in Black Ops 4: Blackout. They now spawn at the farm below the Firing Range.
Here are the bonuses for the week after Christmas: Over the weekend, Black Ops 4 will be offering the following bonuses starting December 28:
- double EXP for Multiplayer and Zombies
- double weapon EXP in Multiplayer and Zombies
- double merits in Blackout.
This is active until January 1 in the evening our time.
Fix Xbox One X for Christmas please
This is how players are reacting: On reddit, the patch is being discussed. However, the biggest topic there is not the zombies, but the bonus EXP. They probably wished that it had already been flowing over Christmas and not just during the weekend after.
Players are also concerned about a bug on the Xbox One X. For the past few days, there has been a glitch that makes Blackout practically unplayable on the Xbox One X. The bug persistently crashes the game when only 15 players or fewer are alive in Blackout mode.
The bug has been occurring since the new update “Absolute Zero” was released last week for Black Ops 4 on PC and Xbox One (via Dexerto). The crash is driving players on the Xbox One X to the brink of despair.
