In Black Desert today, on April 20th, the servers will be down for a long time. An update brings two new classes: Blader and Plum.
Maintenance work for Black Desert is usually a lengthy affair. For today’s patch, 5 hours have been scheduled. Between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM our time, the servers will remain down for maintenance. Again, they say: It may take longer, and we will inform you again.
2 classes that many have been waiting for: Blader and Plum
Today’s patch brings the two classes “Blader” and “Plum.” Anyway, fans have known them by these names for a long time. In our version, they will carry the traditional names Musa and Maehwa.
Both are melee classes inspired by the classic, light, Asian swordsman. With high mobility and strong damage output, one should heed the advice to strike quickly and then skedaddle – both classes do not seem designed for longer battles. They are more like “hit-and-run” specialists.
The Maehwa class is the female counterpart to the Musa. As publisher Daum states, Maehwa specializes in one-on-one situations, while the Musa can display strong area attacks.
Both are not purely melee classes but can also deal occasional damage at a distance with the shortbow.
Ninja and Kunoichi are coming in May
Especially the Blader has long sparked interest among fans. Many have complained that Black Desert launched without him. Although there are already 3 melee classes in the game: Valkyrie, Warrior, and Berserker, this “finesse and agility” orientation seems to be very popular among the Asian-focused fans of Black Desert. In Korea, the Blader was released in February 2015, with a two-month delay (and the revelation of the Wizards in between) and then came the Plum.
Once the two classes are in the game today, only “Ninja and Kunoichi,” the two assassin classes, will be missing. They can probably be expected next month, in May, before it continues with the “Awakening Weapons.”
What today’s patch brings aside from Blader and Plum is not known. Patch notes for Black Desert are expected to be released later when the maintenance work is completed.
Update: Here are the patch notes for today’s patch on April 20th for Black Desert in German by Daum.
