According to fans, the level 5 horse from the founder packages of Black Desert is too weak. How does Daum respond to the criticism?
Everything Remains the Same – No Compensation for Pre-Orders
Horses have a quite high status in Black Desert. They are not only loyal companions that transport heroes from point A to B, but also play an important role in trading and the distribution of goods. Moreover, the level (the tier) of a horse determines how many special properties it has, how suitable it is for breeding, and thus how “valuable” the offspring of this horse will be – and this is exactly where many players feel cheated.
As part of the “founder packages”, buyers of a “Conqueror’s Package” were promised a level 5 horse – which the players did receive, but it seems to deviate drastically from what was expected. For although the horse is technically level 5, it has – according to player criticism – exceptionally poor stats, is poorly suited for breeding and would thus actually only be a “level 3 horse with a great skin”. In the official game forum, players promptly demanded a statement from Daum or at least some compensation to make up for the “false advertising”. The reaction from community manager CM_Jouska came a few days ago.
“After we presented your feedback and concerns to the developers, they looked into the matter and concluded that there will be no compensation in this case. The pre-order horse has overall better stats and more HP. Additionally, they clarified that the pre-order horse has a higher chance of learning new skills while leveling up.”

The criticism in the forum continues, as they didn’t even address the point that the horse is less suitable for breeding than it should be.
