The MMORPG Black Desert will receive a new class named Nova just before Christmas. It combines two already existing classes. Despite this mix, it is well received by the community.
Update December 22: The Nova class is now live in the game. Along with it, the new winter season has started.
What kind of class is this? Nova is a warrior who uses a large shield and a mace as weapons. She has many AoE skills and also relies on frost attacks. With this, she can even freeze enemies on a large scale.
The gameplay is as action-packed and visually impressive as usual. Like almost every class, she can charge at her enemies and control them with crowd control.
With her large shield and attacks, she reminds players of a mix between Valkyrie and Gardia, the class that was released at the beginning of 2020.
When will the class be available? Nova will be available on December 22 for PC and consoles PS4, PS5, and both Xbox generations.
Starting from December 16, you can pre-create the new class, customize its appearance according to your wishes, and secure the appropriate name.
In preparation for the new class, an event has been running since today, December 13, where you can unlock general rewards, as well as underwear and earrings for Nova.
Praise and Criticism for the New Class
How is the class received? Although some animations and concepts of Nova bear strong resemblance to already existing classes, many fans are satisfied with her:
- They are excited to level a new class that looks very action-packed.
- Moreover, Nova can summon helpers who will fight alongside her. Hardly any of the 20 classes in Black Desert have this.
- The only point of criticism is that Nova is female. Recently, with the Hashashin, a male class was introduced, but before that, there were two female classes in a row with Gardia and Shai.

New Season and New Promo Codes
When does the winter season start? Along with the new class, the winter season in Black Desert also begins. For nearly 3 months, you can play a character on the season servers where you can level up particularly quickly and where no PvP exists.
These season servers are perfect for newcomers, and even veterans can use them to level the new class and earn additional rewards.
