In Black Desert, there are initial hints about when the new class Dark Knight and the fresh region Kamasilve will come to Europe.
Rick Van Beem from Kakao Games spoke about the plans for Black Desert in 2017 in an interview with the US site mmorpg:
- the ocean expansion Margoria has already been announced for January 25th
- the new class “Dark Knight” is said to be coming “soon” – this is a warrior who fights with a curved two-handed scimitar and also uses dark magic to enhance her attacks
- the region Kamasilve is scheduled for “early this year”, this is a new area south of Calpheon populated by elves
The timeline for Dark Knight and Kamasilve is surprisingly early, even though the exact timings are not yet concrete.
While Margoria already came to Korea for the original version of Black Desert in summer, Dark Knight and Kamasilve only appeared there in December.
An event is also set to take place here in Europe in March – Black Desert celebrates the anniversary of its release.
An interesting piece of information out of the ordinary. Kakao was asked about “Project W,” which Kakao is developing together with the Bluehole Studios, the creators of Tera, in Korea. They do not want to provide more specific details yet. However, it is said that they are very much looking forward to publishing the game.
With Asia-MMOs, it is usually a long guessing game whether they will come to us. With Project W, that has already been clarified, Kakao will be distributing it here. Although, it may still take a while.
