Black Desert: Maintenance on May 4th – and a replacement horse [Update]

Black Desert compensates buyers of the “Conqueror Package” with a level 5 horse. Additionally, there will be maintenance today, on May 4th.

Level 5 Horse as Compensation for Poor Information

Actually, the topic of the level 3 horse for pre-orderers of the “Conqueror’s Package” from Black Desert was concluded. Daum decided to not provide compensation for the horse that many players were upset about. Its stats were worse than advertised and it was particularly unsuitable for breeding.

The numerous complaints from fans have now led to a turnaround: On May 6th, all buyers of the Conqueror’s Package will be rewarded with a level 5 horse. The announcement was made on Twitter:

To make matters worse, the animal will also be female – female horses are significantly rarer in Black Desert and therefore have a particularly high value. As an additional bonus, there is also a coupon that allows you to reset a horse’s breeding state, as horses can only be used for breeding a limited number of times.

The Community Manager Jouska commented on the whole issue in the forum and once again apologizes to the players: “We apologize for providing so few details about the horses in the pre-order packages.”

Maintenance in Black Desert on 04.05.2016

Aside from that, there will be a short forced break in Black Desert today, as maintenance is scheduled. From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM our time, the servers will be unavailable as planned. The reason for this is a patch, what it contains is not yet known – the patch notes will only be released during the maintenance.

Update: The patch is extending by one hour due to technical difficulties, it was announced via Twitter: 5:00 PM is now the new time.
