Last week, a patch for Black Desert was released. The patch unlocked pet breeding. This is the “new system” that has only recently been introduced in Korea. However, it’s not a “real breeding program” – the “parents” die when they conceive offspring. Thankfully, that’s not how it works in real life – at least not always.
So, even though it’s called “Breeding”, it’s more of an exchange or fusion through which higher tier pets can be produced.
You can get up to tier 4, and to achieve that, you need to cross at least a tier-3 pet with a tier-2 pet – not to be confused with the pet’s level, which apparently does not play a role in the crossing.

The patch notes also indicate that the “flares” will soon be craftable. They are the intended antidote for the stealth suit, which recently became the subject of a “Should one be able to buy such advantages” discussion in Black Desert.
Additionally, since March 23, an egg hunt is ongoing in Black Desert. A special event that lasts until April 6.
