Publisher Kakao Games listens to the fans and finally expands Black Desert with bikinis for women and swim shorts for men. However, players who want to dress their characters will have to reach deep into their pockets.
In many MMOs, players can buy swimwear for their characters during summer. The option to dress the female character in a bikini particularly appeals to many players. Strangely, Kakao Games has taken its time to bring bikinis into the game.
Players had to wait a long time
“Where are our bikinis?” A prominent topic regularly arises in the forums of Black Desert Online that resonates greatly: swimwear. Whether it be bikinis or swimsuits, the players of Black Desert want to equip their characters with swim clothing.
Therefore, the players were excited when they discovered swimwear last week in the Korean version of Black Desert Online. Initially, fans assumed they would have to wait a little longer, but just about a week later, the Korean swimwear arrived here.
Where can I buy swimwear? You can buy the swimwear in the Pearl Shop.
How long is it available? If you want the swimwear, you need to act between July 4 and August 15, 2018.
Expensive pixels
There are bikinis but… If you want one of the new bikinis, you will have to reach deep into your pockets. Kakao Games wants 2900 pearls for each bikini with wrap. This corresponds to a price of 29 euros. At least there is a bulk discount if you buy all bikinis in a package. Then you only pay “4700 pearls”, which is 47 euros.
Women’s fashion: Women receive a wrap called Coco with the purchase of a bikini. The wrap is made of white fabric and becomes transparent when wet.
Female characters can choose from three different bikinis:
- Envi: a red bikini
- Priyah: a white bikini
- Rovini: a blue bikini
Men’s fashion: Men buy their swimwear, like women, in a set that always includes the swimwear and the white shirt Pento. A set costs 2900 pearls. If you want to buy both swim sets for men, you will have to pay 3700 pearls, which is 37€.
Male characters can choose between two different clothing items:
- Martillo: a swim shorts
- Gorca: a scuba suit

Take summer pictures and win hot prizes
Photo competition launched: In line with the release of the swimwear, Kakao Games is launching a screenshot competition where you can win in-game prizes. You can let your creativity run wild with the image motifs; the only requirement is that the screenshots deal with the theme “summer.” Additionally, you are not allowed to use external programs to edit the images.
These are the prizes:
- The best five screenshots: Each a benefit package for 90 days
- The best 30 screenshots: A benefit package, a sealed combat book, and a blessing from Kamasilve for seven days. Additionally, there is a 100g gold bar and ten black stones each for weapon and armor.
This is how you participate:
- Take a screenshot with a minimum resolution of 1920×1080 and publish it under the hashtag #BDOSummer18 via Facebook or Twitter.
- If you publish the screenshot via Twitter, include @BDO_news in the title. On Facebook, include @BlackDesertOnline in the title.
