Currently, there are issues with cheaters and hackers in Black Desert. Now the publisher Daum has spoken out about it.
No Cooldowns and Infinite HP – What is Daum Doing?
Hardly anything ruins the fun for honest players more than people who scam an unfair advantage using hacks or exploits. This has been the case since the Western release of Black Desert.
Many players have already complained about teammates and opponents who seemingly have no cooldowns on their abilities and can unleash the most powerful skills repeatedly. As if that wasn’t enough cheating, some of them even go so far as to crank up hit points and mana to unreachable levels. These players are virtually invincible and therefore diminish the enjoyment for all those who do not resort to such unfair advantages.
And this issue is not new. The YouTuber Pvt Wiggles talked about the problem in a long video, mentioning that he has contacted Daum’s customer service several times. In his view, nothing has been done to combat these players to this day. You can watch the video (in English) here:
The site mmorpg.com asked Daum directly and received a response:
“We are 100% aware of this issue and we are coming down hard on all cheaters we catch, while improving our anti-cheat systems. We thank all community members who report such behavior, and if someone encounters a cheater, please use this link [Link to Black Desert’s ticket system]. As a publisher and community, we continue to work together to make the game even better.”
This means that the developers are aware of the problem. However, they are not yet providing a specific date for when an improvement will come for the afflicted players.
