Fresh concept art and gameplay from Beyond Good & Evil 2 makes up for the fact that the developer will not be present at E3.
The developers of Beyond Good & Evil 2 will not be present at E3 as they want to focus on “important milestones” in game development. However, they have still found the time to discuss new details in a new video, showcase some gameplay, and release plenty of concept art along the way. Some of it looks quite eerie.
This is what happens with the hybrids: A major topic in the video was the hybrids, which play an important role in the world of Beyond Good & Evil. These are genetically engineered humanoids, where the DNA of humans has been crossed with that of animals. Most of the time, these hybrids are used for menial or dangerous jobs.
The monkey hybrids have to mine a mineral that can only be found in regions near a meteorite crash site. Accidents often occur there, and those who do not meet their quota are simply left behind.
If you want, you can actually play as a hybrid in BG&E2 if you do not want to embody a human.
Gameplay flights and mysterious symbols: A few seconds of gameplay were also shown. There, some artworks were shown that can be found and analyzed in the game world. Some of them will even hold secrets and lead to hidden temples.
When will Beyond Good & Evil 2 be released? There is still no release date for Beyond Good & Evil 2. However, since the game is still in “pre-alpha” and considering the size of the project, one can probably expect no release before 2021.
It was recently rumored that a first beta could be played by the end of 2019.
Are you excited for Beyond Good & Evil 2? Or does part 2 deviate too much from the first part of the series?
