The adventure legend Beyond Good and Evil is getting a sequel. We have the first cinematic trailer for the announcement of Beyond Good and Evil 2 here for you.
The youngest among you may hardly remember, but there was a time when faces in video games were significantly more angular and not everything was solved with pure firepower. Female protagonists (besides Lara Croft) were a rarity. In 2003, “Beyond Good and Evil” was released, an action-adventure that set many new standards.
A mix of adventure and stealth game, combined with a compelling storyline, ensures that the game remains ingrained in the minds of gamers even after 14 years. Instead of firepower, the protagonist and reporter Jade had only her camera to defend herself against enemies.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 Cinematic Trailer
At E3, the first trailer for “Beyond Good and Evil 2” was presented! Watch it here:
In a more detailed analysis video of the first trailer, developer Michel Ancel reveals even more details about the game. It will be a prequel to “Beyond Good and Evil 2” – the historical predecessor of the old game. Veterans will be able to uncover many connections and find out why the world in the first part turned out the way it ultimately did.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 with Multiplayer
But another piece of information came up on the side. Apparently, Beyond Good and Evil 2 will feature a multiplayer mode. The vehicles shown in the trailer can be occupied and controlled by several players. Depending on the position one takes, different actions are possible. A few hot chases are also likely to be part of it.
At the end of the trailer, there’s a little surprise. In close-up, we see the face of a young lady with green eyes, who strikingly resembles Jade, the protagonist of the first part.
Whether she is part of it again is still unclear. For veterans, however, this should be a quite good emotional connection to re-enter the game world so many years later.
If you haven’t played the classic “Beyond Good and Evil” yet, there should still be enough time to catch up. The original Beyond Good and Evil is available for just about €5 on Steam.
