The action MMORPG TERA is coming to consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. But before that, it needs to be tested whether the porting works as planned by the developers at Bluehole. Therefore, a technical beta test will soon start for a small number of players.
TERA is a spectacular online role-playing game, famous for its sophisticated action combat system. Thus, it is actually ideal for a port to consoles like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The console versions of TERA are now completed to the extent that they can be played. However, before it officially starts, the developers want to test a few features of the game and need your help with that.
Does the UI work on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One?
In a detailed video, Matt Denomme, the Senior Product Manager at the publisher En Masse, explains what the developers are planning. Because to bring TERA to consoles, the controls and the interface had to be completely adjusted.
After all, PC players are close to the screen. Console players, however, prefer the comfortable couch and play on the often meter-away television. Therefore, the console interface must also provide clear recognizable information at that distance.
In an upcoming technical beta test, the developers want to see if players are satisfied with the adjustments or if there are still issues. However, the test will only allow a small number of players. Beta codes for this test will be sent randomly to registered players.
“Real” beta comes later
The technical beta test of TERA begins on December 14 and ends on December 18, 2017. According to Matt Denomme, you can already play almost the entire game in the test. In addition, the technical test should pave the way for a “real” beta. This beta will then start in early 2018.
When the full release will be is still unknown. Here you can sign up for the upcoming beta of TERA on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
