There is a war that ordinary people do not even notice. In The Secret World, the new MMORPG from Funcom, there literally exists an invisible world where monsters, vampires, and werewolves are anything but a horror fairy tale, and the darkness is on the rise.

In order to prevent this, three secret organizations – the Dragons, the Templars, and the Illuminati – have also agreed to a truce and want to fight against evil together. However, each organization always has its own interests in mind and is looking for means and ways to achieve world domination.

An innovative online role-playing game

As a player, you initially join one of the three secret organizations, laying the foundation for your role-playing experiences. At the same time, the choice of faction is the only character restriction. There are neither fixed character classes nor level limits or equipment restrictions. Anyone can become anything.

There are over 100 different abilities from which you can assemble your skills and over 20 different weapon types that can be used against the creatures of evil or opposing players.

There are deployment locations around the world in huge areas where you can let loose and showcase your talents. And so players don’t always have to keep an eye on playtime, The Secret World has recently done away with any subscription fees and invites you to dive into the dark machinations of the secret organizations.
