The battle royale shooter H1Z1: King of the Kill presents its latest build. This is meant to show players what they are actually shooting at.
H1Z1 may have been stuck in Early Access for a long time with little progress – but this mainly applies to the original H1Z1, which has been separated as a survival MMO called “Just Survive”. In good health is H1Z1: King of the Kill, the version of the MMO designed for Twitch.
Most players cannot tell if they hit the body or armor
Recently, numerous surveys have been sent to players, which have now been evaluated and analyzed, leading to some new steps.
Players should soon be able to better see what exactly they have hit. Through sound and graphics, players should be able to notice, even in the heat of battle, whether they hit “flesh” or an “armor part” when shooting at an opponent. Because 76% of all players could not clearly state what they hit when asked.
Most can tell if the opponent is wearing a helmet, but it’s different with body armor.
That’s why H1Z1 now has a new build on the test server where the “hit marker” is supposed to be clearer.
Optimization and breaking vehicles
Additionally, Daybreak Games is optimizing the performance of H1Z1 – fans place great value on this according to surveys.
Moreover, players should now be able to more easily recognize when their vehicle is breaking apart with the new build. There are now various stages of “junk” that a car can reach when taking damage. This should signal to the player: It’s time to exit. That thing is about to explode.
The features are currently active on the test server and are set to be implemented into the live game H1Z1: King of the Kill soon.
