The new update 0.23 of Armored Warfare introduces the “Caribbean Crisis” and not only details such as night battles and a map but also a new game mode: The “Special Operations.”
In the new update of Armored Warfare, it does head to the Caribbean, but there is no thought of Caribbean flair. Caribbean flair does not come with the explosions and the tanks. However, the missions take you to the interesting regions of the Panama Canal.
A grim war still rages, to which a new hostile faction now joins. This marks the kickoff for the special operations: Cohesive missions that are to be expanded with regular updates.

The new PvP map Grassfelder and the Panama Canal
- The new PvP map is located in the idyllic landscapes of eastern Croatian forests, which shine with beauty, where primarily exciting battles can be fought. Thanks to the open spaces, it gives the opportunity to rush through with the armored vehicles and execute flank maneuvers and precise flank maneuvers
- But PvE players also get new content: After learning that a new enemy wants to plunge the world into chaos, you set off to stop him. It goes to the regions of the Panama Canal, where you can complete three cooperative missions and actively influence the ending.

Fight in moonless nights in Armored Warfare
Here, night vision devices and the thermal optics of the vehicle can be used to tactically act and fight even in moonless nights. It expands the gameplay options and adds a new, challenging component. Compared to the normal mode, the following changes occur:
- Visibility of all vehicles is reduced by 40%
- Camouflage factor of all vehicles is increased by 30%
- Shooting immediately reduces camouflage to zero
This nighttime combat mode will initially be limited to only one map: The Grassfelder. It will be available for both PvE and PvP.

Make your achievements visible: The medals
For those who want to make their progress visible through achievements, the medals now provide the opportunity. They are awarded for special achievements that are not so easy to achieve, such as:
- 14 kills in a single battle
- If you destroy a heavy vehicle by ramming.
- At least 9 detected enemy vehicles
- More earned reputation in a battle than 99.9% of all players of the same class and tier.
In total, there are now 20 medals to work towards.
Bots in PvP fights at low tiers
The newly introduced bots in PvP are intended to help new and inexperienced players navigate PvP battles and learn the skills of warfare.
The AI-controlled bots will be integrated into Tier 1 and Tier 2 battles and will be present on both sides. They behave like normal players, do not solely focus on killing, but also take care of the bases. The teams will consist of a maximum of half bots.

Dossier interface and more altered details
In addition, the dossier interface has been revised and now includes not only player and vehicle statistics but also a success window related to the medals and a detailed battle history.
Moreover, the commander abilities have been revamped and rebalanced, and the bonuses for each mode are granted individually. There are some changes in detail that aim to better balance Armored Warfare.
