In Destiny 2 you can earn titles for your Guardians and stand out from the crowd. Season 6 has brought another title to the game – the Disruptor. We will show you what you need to do for it.
What are titles anyway? Titles in Destiny 2 are another way to customize your Guardian and stand out from other players. They are tied to certain achievements and milestones, showcasing these to all other Guardians. With Season 6, you can now adorn your character with another title.
How to become the Disruptor
If you want to claim a title for yourself, you can generally expect a lot of work and should especially bring plenty of time and motivation. The same goes for the Disruptor. Ahead of you lies a wide range of tasks to complete. This includes almost everything that Season 6 has to offer.
What makes the Disruptor title special: This new title is tied to the triumph seal of the same name. It is only available to owners of the Annual Pass.
You can check what requirements you need to fulfill for the title and what you may have already done via the Disruptor seal in the triumph tab of the game menu. To do this, you need to earn the following 13 triumphs:
Annual Pass – The Jester’s Wildcard: For this triumph, you need to earn at least one complete Outlaw armor set for all 4 roles of Gambit Prime as well as all 10 new weapons from Gambit Prime and Reckoning.
You receive the set pieces through the bounties of Drifter and by playing Reckoning. The 5 required emblems can be obtained through 5 of the following triumphs, and the shader can be acquired by dismantling curated weapons from Gambit Prime or Reckoning.
All 10 weapons can drop from the weekly engrams for Gambit Prime. Additionally, they rotate weekly in the loot pool of the Reckoning mode. For one week, you have a chance at:
- Shotgun
- Sniper
- Pistol
- Scout Rifle
- Sword
In the following week, you can earn the following weapons:
- Hand Cannon
- Auto Rifle
- Pulse Rifle
- Grenade Launcher
- SMG

The 4 “Call Me…” Triumphs: Each of the four new roles from Gambit Prime has its own triumph. For this, you need to win a Gambit Prime match while wearing a complete Outlaw set of the corresponding role, namely:
- Collector
- Invader
- Reaper
- Guardian
Quick Reckoning: For this, you need to complete a time trial run (at least 3 minutes still on the clock) in Tier 3 of Reckoning.
A Step Ahead: For this triumph, complete all three sections of Tier 3 in Reckoning without dying. The two bosses rotate weekly. So you can’t complete everything at once. For completion, you get an emblem needed for the title at the end.
They didn’t see that coming: Here it’s about eliminating Shadow Peons, landing precision kills, and defeating powerful enemies.
For Powerful enemies and precision kills, farming on level 1 is recommended. For the Peons, the Bridge on level 2 is best.
The Path of Hate: This step is quickly explained. You need to earn the exotic Hand Cannon Thorn, which enhances the Guardian’s arsenal in Season 6. You can find out how here: How to get Thorn in Destiny 2
Triumphant Collector: While the Collector Aura is active (+10 points, from 5 pieces of Tier 2 armor), you need to:
- Win 10 matches in Gambit Prime
- Deposit 1,000 particles
- Summon 100 small blockers
- Summon 40 large blockers. Remember that you need +15 points on the Collector armor to activate the necessary top perk
- and earn 15 medals
To earn a “Half Banked” medal, you need to deposit 50 particles in a Gambit Prime match. For completing the triumph, you receive an emblem needed for the title at the end.
Triumphant Invader: While the Invader Aura is active (+10 points, from 5 pieces of Tier 2 armor), you need to:
- Win 10 matches
- Achieve 25 super kills
- Achieve 25 kills with snipers or linear fusion rifles
- Achieve 25 kills with shotguns or regular fusion rifles
- Achieve 25 other kills (easiest with Thunderlord or Hammerhead)
- Steal 100 particles from the enemy bank. A Titan with Shield of Dusk or a Warlock with Well of Radiance can do this best. Remember that you need +15 points on the Invader armor to activate this top perk
For completing the triumph, you receive an emblem needed for the title at the end.
Triumphant Reaper: While the Reaper Aura is active (+10 points, from 5 pieces of Tier 2 armor), you need to:
- Win 20 matches
- Defeat 1,000 enemies
- Defeat 50 high-value targets. Only high-value enemies count, not random Yellow Bars. You will need at least 50 matches for this
- Defeat 100 blockers and envoys
- Earn 10 medals
For the Massacre medals, you need to eliminate at least 12 enemies – and that within 3 seconds after each kill. For completing the triumph, you receive an emblem needed for the title at the end.
Triumphant Guardian: While the Guardian Aura is active (+10 points, from 5 pieces of Tier 2 armor), you need to:
- Win 20 matches
- Mark 40 invaders. You just need to shoot them while the Guardian Aura is active. It doesn’t matter whether you or your teammates finish them off
- Defeat 200 blockers
- Defeat 150 Taken
- Earn 20 medals
The “Lock Smith” medals are a bit complicated. Actually, you should only need to eliminate the last three blockers before the Primeval in one round.
To make it work, according to player reports, you need to eliminate 5 blockers in one round – and this must be done before the Primeval is summoned. For all kills, you need to deliver the final blow, otherwise, they won’t count towards progress.
Also, for completing the triumph, you receive an emblem needed for the title at the end.
How to equip the Disruptor title
Once you have battled through all 13 triumphs, you can activate the corresponding seal on the second page of the triumph menu. There you can then equip the Disruptor title. The title will then appear in the character menu and will also be visible to all other guardians in the game itself.
