With Battlefield 6, the classic map “Operation Firestorm” is returning, and according to the developers, more will make a comeback.
In what way will classic maps return? Battlefield developers Anna Norrevik and Jac Carlsson spoke with the Taiwanese online magazine GNN News during the multiplayer reveal.
When asked whether Battlefield 6 will receive even more classic maps from the shooter series like Caspian Border and Dragon Valley in the future, Development Director Anna Norrevik replied, “We will introduce classic versions or maps based on fan and player requests.”
She then elaborated that it is very important for the team to bring back the right maps: “Of course, we have many options and hope to choose the best possible ones so everyone can indulge in memories of the good times of the Battlefield game.”
Which maps do players want to return? On Reddit, some players are discussing which maps they want back. Other users comment on Metro – the infantry map has been very popular since Battlefield 4 and returned in Battlefield 4.
