In Battlefield 6 will soon kick off Season 1 and bring new features as well as a Battle Pass. You can learn what time to expect a preload and how the patch notes look in our live ticker.
When does Season 1 start? In a lengthy blog post, DICE outlined the start and all patch notes you can expect in Season 1 on x.com. Here’s what time you should mark in your calendar:
- October 28 at 4:00 PM German time: Season 1 with the new Battle Pass and all previously communicated changes will come into effect and can be inspected and tried out.
With a new season, new content also comes that you can earn. As with every new patch, there might also be bugs or server issues, and to ensure you don’t wonder, we will present all important information clearly.
What content does Season 1 bring? According to the official roadmap of Battlefield 6, you can expect the following things starting from October 28:
- New map: Blackwell Fields
- New mode: Strikepoint
- A tactical 4v4 mode with multiple rounds and only one life per round; teams must capture an objective.
- New vehicle: APC Traverser Mark 2
- Armored land vehicle for transporting personnel, offers 4 seats including a roof gunner.
- New weapons:
- SOR-300C (Carbine)
- Mini Fix (Sniper rifle)
- GCH-22 (Secondary weapon)
- New attachments:
- Rail Cover
- LPVO
Additionally, it may be possible that the “Battle Royale” mode will be released, but that is not officially confirmed.
Everything about preload and patch notes
Will there be a preload? Yes, there will be a preload. It will be rolled out on October 28 at 10:00 AM German time. The update will then be released simultaneously on all platforms.
What is the size of the preload? That is not yet known. We will probably learn that only when the preload starts.
Will there be downtime? No, according to the post on X, fans will be able to continue playing Battlefield 6 after downloading the update. When the clock strikes 4 PM, all changes implemented with the update will be automatically unlocked.
Are there already patch notes? Yes, there are. Unfortunately, they are currently only available in English. However, we will list the highlights of the update here in German. The updates mainly consist of improvements that veterans have been demanding for a long time:
- Movement when spawning is supposed to run more smoothly
- Dispersion of various weapons has been adjusted to match their accuracy and handling
- Visual improvements regarding visibility and lighting
- Audio overhaul addressing vehicle sounds, projectiles, and related issues
- Adjustments to the UI for better visibility
- Improvements concerning spawns
