Battlefield 6 has implemented a new mode that is mainly intended to lead you to more relaxed gameplay. This mode is also suitable for quickly gaining a lot of XP.
What mode is it? It is Casual Breakthrough, a new mode that has been playable in Battlefield 6 since November 1, 2025. The mode takes a different approach than familiar modes, as it replaces a large part of the playing soldiers with bots.
In general, these are smaller teams that compete against each other. At first, it sounds a bit strange that Battlefield 6 already relies on bots. But there is an idea behind it to help many players.
Casual Breakthrough is the perfect mode for XP
Why is Casual Breakthrough so good? In Casual Breakthrough, two teams of 24 soldiers each compete against each other. Among these 24, however, there are only 8 real players, with the rest being taken by bots on both teams.
You might think there is a catch because bots are not always the smartest teammates, which could lead to an easier game, but there isn’t one. The mode has been specifically designed to provide you with relaxed rounds.
The bonus: You can collect challenges and XP for Battle Pass, weapons, as well as your account. Especially for those who find the grind in standard modes tedious, Casual Breakthrough is recommended. Because here you can leave the round with a lot of kills, drastically increasing your progress.
If you think that the bots are just cannon fodder, you are mistaken. They act intelligently to a certain degree. They drop ammunition on request and can even revive you if you have fallen in battle. Some fans even say on Reddit that these bots are more reliable than real players.
Why are such bot lobbies still so controversial? Whether in Fortnite or Call of Duty: Many associate the use of bots with a decline in player numbers. Studios try to reduce matchmaking time to ensure lobbies are always full of players.
This may be true, but in the case of Battlefield 6, it’s more about giving fans a chance to effectively complete challenges and level up without feeling pressured to improve. Fun is the priority here, and not everyone is eager to jump into every round after work just because the opposing team is led by former Delta Force soldiers.
