Battlefield 6 managed to excite many fans for the shooter series at its release, but some problems overshadow the fun for the community. Therefore, the chief producer reached out to the players themselves and encouraged them to share their feelings.
What were fans encouraged to do? The lead producer of Battlefield 6, David Sirland, returned from his vacation. In a post on X, the chief reached out to the fans and explained that he had looked into all issues and had also played Battlefield 6 himself to better understand the community.
Aside from the known issues, Sirland now wants to know from you what else is bothering you that the studio might have overlooked. Therefore, in less than 12 hours, over 2000 comments flooded the chief’s post. Sirland even interacted personally with many suggestions and discussed with the fans.
Chief Producer takes time for your questions
What answers could fans obtain? There were several important points regarding bots, the server browser, and the drone exploit and hammer.
As for the bots, there is an important reason why they are present on various servers. They help to facilitate matchmaking. Waiting times are drastically reduced as rounds can start much faster.
If additional players want to join the server later, the bots are gradually removed from the round. Many do not like the bots, as they disrupt immersion due to their lack of intelligence. However, Sirland makes it clear that without the bots, the alternative would be to have no servers at all (Source: x.com).
The second point was the server browser. This leaves much to be desired, as Portal is currently flooded with countless XP modes, and official modes are getting lost. Sirland admits that the search is not currently optimal. The team is aware of this and is working to make the server browser clearer (Source: x.com).
Lastly, there was an update regarding the drone exploit, as it causes unplayable rounds. Sirland confirms that this issue will be fixed in the next patch. When this will happen will be officially communicated later (Source: x.com).
