The release of Combined Arms for Battlefield 5 is next week. Now there is a new teaser, which is not so new. And that bothers the fans.
What is it about? Combined Arms is the new multiplayer co-op mode for Battlefield 5. Players have been looking forward to this mode for a long time, but they have not been able to play it in BF 5 yet.
The developers explained at the launch of the game that the mode would be unlocked at some point. Next week, however, it will finally happen. This was confirmed by the Twitter account of Battlefield 5, which also sent a teaser to its followers.
And that teaser is not being received well.
What does the tweet say? “Team up with 3 friends in a squad and survive 4 mission types spread across 4 maps in the co-op experience of Battlefield 5. Combined Arms will be released next week.
The video linked with the tweet was mistaken by many fans for a new trailer. A video that is supposed to hype fans even more about the Combined Arms mode. But upon closer inspection, players notice, “Wait, we know these scenes already?!”. Right, the scenes in the video have already been seen in the Lightning Strikes trailer.
In the embedded trailer uploaded to YouTube about 3 weeks ago, you can see the events from the Twitter video. About from 11 seconds to 34 seconds.
What do fans say about it on Twitter?
- @Billaek32 writes: “When you expect a hot, new trailer but this happens …”
- @sSeccaTt2_ says: “It … it is the same teaser..”
- @kwahtoo writes: “It feels to me like I see the same old video in every tweet.”
Further reactions to the mentioned tweet can be seen in the following graphic:
What is the problem? Fans would have liked a new trailer that gives more insights into Combined Arms. Now many are frustrated about seeing the same, familiar images again.
When is the release of Combined Arms? That has not been determined yet, as the developers did not name a date. However, it is assumed that it will be released on the typical patch days. This would then be Tuesday or Thursday.
