• November 8: On this day, all PC players with an Origin Access Premier subscription can start playing.
• November 9: Users of the Origin Access Basic version will gain access to a 10-hour trial version on PC. Also players on Xbox One will receive a 10-hour trial with EA Access.
• November 15: On this day, owners of the Deluxe Edition of Battlefield 5 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One can get started.
• November 20: This is the official release date for all owners of the Standard Edition on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

What content does Battlefield 5 offer at launch?

This is what Battlefield 5 offers at launch: For single-player fans, Battlefield 5 features War Stories, a series of war stories told from the perspective of various soldiers from the warring factions.

However, the focus of Battlefield 5 is faithfully on the multiplayer part of the game. In addition to some familiar formats, there will also be new game modes. Up to 64 players can compete on initially 8 maps. From classic Team Deathmatch and one-on-one combat to Grand Operations, which recreate entire military operations including the use of warfare technology over several virtual days with various game modes, there is something for everyone.

In addition, Battlefield 5 places great emphasis on the customization of your soldier. In the Company, a kind of personal collection, numerous uniforms, weapons, and vehicles will accumulate over time. This allows extensive customization of your soldier and arsenal – both visually and performance-wise.

These 8 maps are included at launch:

• Twisted Steel – A map focused on a destroyed bridge that presents challenges to players
• Arras – A large map where infantry seeks shelter from approaching tanks
• Narvik – You fight for control of the snow-covered port city
• Fjell 652 – On top of a mountain, infantry encounters each other
• Rotterdam – A city map where the narrow streets are the scene of the battles
• Devastation – Rotterdam after the air raid provides challenges due to the ruins
• Hamada – A large desert map designed for vehicle battles
• Aerodrome – A ruin where infantry and vehicles meet.

These maps take place in France, Norway, Holland, and North Africa. Hamada is the largest map, while Fjell 652 is the smallest of all previous maps.

Is there a Premium Pass for Battlefield 5?

There will be no Premium Pass for Battlefield 5. Also, paid DLCs or maps are omitted.

Fresh content will be provided in Battlefield 5 through the new live service Tides of War – and that free and for all players. This includes new events, maps, new War Stories chapters, and new gameplay events that are to be delivered continuously and cohesively.

Additionally, there will also be suitable thematic rewards such as weapons, vehicles, or all sorts of cosmetic items for your soldiers.

By the way: There will be no loot boxes in Battlefield 5. Although there will be content that can be purchased with real money, all of these will be purely cosmetic in nature and offer no gameplay advantages.

Is a PS Plus/Xbox Live Gold membership required for Battlefield 5?

On PS4, you need a PS Plus subscription to access the multiplayer. On Xbox One, an active Xbox Live membership is required for multiplayer matches.
