The online shooter Battlefield 5 will not only offer familiar multiplayer modes, but also something entirely new.
The alpha of Battlefield 5 is over and players have already given their opinions on it. According to a Reddit user, a hint has now appeared in the Battlefield 1 home menu indicating which multiplayer modes fans can expect in the upcoming online shooter.
Eight modes – plus Battle Royale
Familiar modes are included. In the message that was allegedly seen in the Battlefield 1 home menu, it was stated that the following game modes will be included:
- Conquest
- Domination
- Frontlines
- Team Deathmatch
- Breakthrough
Something completely new is coming. However, the message also mentioned that Battlefield 5 will receive three completely new modes. It is supposed to be something brand new. However, there are currently no hints about what this might entail.
Battle Royale counts separately. Since the Battle Royale mode is to be added to the online shooter later on, it is generally expected that this does not count among these three brand new modes. Furthermore, Battle Royale is no longer considered new.
What about Final Stand and Airborne? The two game modes Final Stand and Airborne do not appear in the list of regular game modes because, according to previous information, they are likely only playable as part of Grand Operations.
Thus, Battlefield 5 will have eight game modes – plus Battle Royale, assuming the information is correct. The online shooter will be released on October 19 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
