With a new gameplay trailer, Battlefield 2042 introduced the remaining 5 release specialists. All come with special abilities and their own backstory. We show you the trailer and the abilities on MeinMMO.
Battlefield 2042 interprets the class system differently than its predecessors. The normal weapons and equipment no longer depend on your class, but you can choose specialists that determine your appearance and certain abilities.
For the release of BF2042 on November 19, there will be a total of 10 of these specialists. 5 were already known, and with a lavish gameplay trailer, developer DICE now showed the remaining soldiers. We briefly introduce the new specialists and showcase their abilities. We embed the trailer for you here:
Navin Rao – Hacker Scout
- Name: Navin Rao
- Origin: India
- Class: Scout
- Active Ability: Cyber Warfare Suit
- Passive Ability: Trojan Network
Rao is a scout who can significantly influence the fighting. If you mark an enemy before the kill, you briefly see nearby enemies, making an ambush almost impossible.
With your active ability, you hack enemy equipment or environment elements. The trailer shows how Rao raises traffic bollards with his tools to stop an enemy vehicle.
Dozer – Protective Assault Soldier
- Name: Santiago “Dozer” Espinoza
- Origin: Mexico
- Class: Assault Soldier
- Active Ability: SOB-8 Ballistic Shield
- Passive Ability: Blast Resistant
Dozer focuses more on defense and takes less damage from explosions. He also recovers faster from explosion damage and gets back to maximum health quickly.
His active toy is a large ballistic shield that protects Dozer from frontal fire. The trailer also shows that the shield can even deflect enemy projectiles and eliminate opponents with it.
Sundance – Assault Soldier with Wingsuit
- Name: Emma “Sundance” Rosier
- Origin: France
- Class: Assault Soldier
- Active Ability: Smart Explosives
- Passive Ability: Wingsuit
Sundance is the queen of the skies and brings the wingsuit into the game, which provided spectacular scenes in the reveal trailer. If you jump from a high point, the wingsuit carries you far and accurately over the map. The tornados of Levolution promise fun moments.
In addition to the flying outfit, Sundance has a selection of smart grenades that partially steer their targets on their own. Her arsenal consists of scatter, EMP, and anti-armor grenades.
Ji-Soo Paik – Scout with Wallhack
- Name: Ji-Soo Paik
- Origin: South Korea
- Class: Scout
- Active Ability: EMG-X Scanner
- Passive Ability: Threat Perception
Paik is a top scout and could be very helpful at the front. Her passive ability marks targets that deal damage to you. The opponents are highlighted and then easily visible.
Her active ability is a wallhack. You put on glasses to see very close enemies through walls. The hack is limited by a battery that quickly runs out of power. How you recharge the battery remains unclear.
Angel – Supplier with Loadout Crate
- Name: Constantin “Angel” Anghel
- Origin: Romania
- Class: Supplier
- Active Ability: Loadout Crate
- Passive Ability: Trauma Specialist
With Angel, another medic enters the game who can revive better. Your teammates get back on their feet quickly after his healing, and even the armor regenerates a bit.
Active, you can throw a loadout crate. Your teammates can use this crate to change their weapon loadout. Additionally, there is a fresh supply of ammunition and armor.
There is less than a month left until the release of the newest Battlefield installment. The beta is over, all modes and specialists are known – now all that’s left is to wait for the release.
