Members of EA Access and Origin Access can already play a Play-First Trial of Battlefield 1. In addition to the aforementioned Early Access content of Battlefield 1, fans have already found funny Easter eggs in the game. This includes the famous 2mm “Kolibri” pistol. This tiny weapon is currently bringing joy to many Battlefield 1 fans, as visually this weapon is “something completely different”.
A pistol for ants?
How this weapon works in battle is demonstrated by Reddit user SmirG3l with a GIF. Reactions in the comments range from mockery to hope that the Kolibri makes it into the “real” game.
Also interesting is the reloading animation. It looks like you need a lot of finesse to reload new ammunition without breaking the weapon. The Kolibri was patented in 1910 and officially available four years later. Unfortunately, the weapons did not sell particularly well because it was difficult to handle the small size of the weapon and ammunition. Moreover, the weapon is inaccurate with its 2.7mm caliber and has a projectile energy of only 4 Joules. The GIF clearly shows that this firepower is not strong. By comparison: With its firepower, the Kolibri can penetrate a pine wood board that cannot be thicker than 3.75cm. The Kolibri is still an absolute eye-catcher in Battlefield 1 and will certainly leave an impression when you get a kill with it.
