A good medic has a great influence on a battle in Battlefield 1!
In Battlefield 1, some changes were made to the classes that are already known from other parts of the series. One of the biggest changes is that healing and reviving abilities can no longer be used by Assault classes, but there is now a dedicated medic in the game. While this is a significant change to the typical combat system of Battlefield, the new class also provides a fast-paced game, as you will see in the video.
Medic Kits applicable at a distance!
Medics have access to small and large medic kits during a battle in Battlefield 1. The small medic kits can be thrown by the medic towards an injured team member, which will automatically heal the ally when they land nearby. For large medic kits, as is common in other games, you must stay still and can heal up to 100% health on them.
Instead of using the classic defibrillator, the revive ability in Battlefield 1 functions with an ampule and syringe. The ability itself hasn’t changed much, except for the visual modifications. With these abilities of the new medic, you have a significant influence on the game state, as reviving means you won’t have to wait long for respawns, and with the small medic kits, you can heal your allies quickly and easily.
Like engineers before, medics in Battlefield 1 can repair vehicles – however, you only have a limited number of slots and must therefore choose between one of the two medic kits and repairing the vehicles. You need to equip yourself according to your play style and hope that the item you did not choose is not needed in combat.
