Battlefield 1: Incursions – New competitive 5v5 mode starts soon

A team competition in Battlefield 1 is coming your way, rewarding teamwork, skill, and strategy. Work together to win.

The large 64-player battles are a special highlight in Battlefield 1, which players enjoy taking advantage of. However, the new mode will significantly reduce the teams and focus the maps on a smaller area.

Incursions starts in September in the alpha phase and is designed for competition. Sign-ups for testing are still open for a few more days.

Incursions – Game Mode in Battlefield 1

During Gamescom 2017, Electronic Arts and DICE announced the new game mode Incursions for Battlefield 1. The mode is a new competitive experience developed in conjunction with the community.

You fight on tight maps in a 5-vs-5 mode and must prove your teamwork. You have soldiers and one vehicle per team to choose from.

You play as soldiers as “Kits” – a subcategory of the regular classes.

With each kit, you can fulfill specific roles that advance you on the battlefield. During the closed alpha, the following eight kits are available:

• Medic: The team medic heals team members and revives them.
  
• Support Leader: He disrupts visibility with plenty of smoke grenades, forms the rear line of the squad, and can spawn outside of combat.
  
• Assault Pioneer: As a specialist in taking out vehicles, the assault pioneer is the nightmare of every vehicle driver.
  
• Combat Mechanic: The combat mechanic mainly controls the team’s vehicles. Movement and positioning make the great vehicle driver.
  
• Mortar Support: Rains explosives on enemies and provides allies with ammunition. In short – excels at controlling areas from a distance.
  
• Assault Leader: The assault leader moves at the forefront and can set spawn points for reinforcements.
  
• Shock Trooper: The shock trooper is effective against both infantry and vehicles. He is a versatile all-rounder when it comes to making BOOM.
  
• Scout: Excels at gathering information for the team and using that information to take out enemies up close.

When the competitive season for this mode starts is not yet known. First, the gameplay experience will be refined. You can still register for the closed alpha until August 27, 2017, at 08:59 CEST. This will then start in September. Here’s how to sign up for the alpha on battlefield.com

Battlefield 1 Revolution Edition Introduced

A new Battlefield 1 edition in Game-of-the-Year style has also been introduced. It is called Revolution and provides you with a premium pass, giving you access to the DLCs They Shall not Pass, In The Name Of The Tsar, Turning Tides (in December) and Apocalypse (next year) .A presentation trailer for the new version can be seen here:
