Battlefield 1 has received a new update and Premium players gain access to the Apocalypse DLC on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It will be the last official DLC for Battlefield 1.
Along with a new update for the shooter, the last official DLC for Battlefield 1 is now available. This is made possible by the Early Access that owners of a Battlefield 1 Premium Pass or the Battlefield 1 Revolution version receive. Beautiful new maps, powerful weapons, and aerial battles await you in the Apocalypse expansion.
Apocalypse DLC Content
Early access to the Apocalypse DLC has now started. Players who neither own a Premium Pass nor the Revolution can purchase the DLC starting March 6.
Even if you only own the base game, you must now download the new update to play online. There are currently no patch notes available for this.
These contents are included in the Apocalypse expansion:
Apocalypse is the last official DLC for Battlefield 1. EA has already confirmed a new Battlefield title for Fall 2018. But for now, there are still many new contents like aerial battles for BF1, which you can enjoy until the new title comes out. A new stationary weapon that shoots poison gas and the air raid game mode are among the highlights of the DLC.
In addition, there are cosmetic contents like dog tags, codex entries, and medals.
Apocalypse Maps
Five new maps are expected to bring variety to the different matches. Two of the new maps are specifically designed for aerial combat. These can be typical dogfights or battles over gigantic airships.
- Passendale
- The Belgian hinterland has now turned into a nightmarish landscape of mud and blood. You will find cover in the old ruins.
- Caporetto
- Along the Isonzo River, you will take part in the battle between Austria-Hungary and the Italian army.
- Somme
- The seemingly peaceful wheat fields along the Somme are transformed into “hell on earth” by heavy artillery bombardment.
- On the Edge (Aerial Combat)
- Between snowy peaks, you will fight thrilling battles between British and German aviators.
- London Calls (Aerial Combat)
- Far above the British capital, you will engage in two different aerial combat modes.
Apocalypse Weapons and Airplanes
What would a Battlefield 1 DLC be without new weapons? Exactly, nothing. The DLC content includes six new firearms, brutal new melee weapons, and other gadgets.
- The firearms include the RSC MP and five other unique weapons:

- For melee enthusiasts, there is the Butcher’s Cleaver or the Crowbar, with which you can resolve personal differences with opponents in the future:

- New toys such as the Anti-Aircraft Missile Launcher of the Assault class return with Apocalypse to the game.

- For the new aerial battles, you should have the corresponding tools. These come in the form of two new bombers
How do you like the new contents and are you already excited about the next EA title? Somehow, the developers of PUBG seem to feel inspired by the success of it.
