Battlefield 1 Collector’s Edition ohne Spiel!

Many are already looking forward to the upcoming release of the online shooter Battlefield 1.

The online game is released on October 21 and this time offers World War I as the scenario. True fans are already planning to purchase a Collector’s Edition. This is available on Amazon for around 210 Euros. An expensive treat that, in addition to the game, includes an exclusive Steelbook, a Battlefield 1 statue, playing cards, an exclusive poster, a carrier pigeon capsule with exclusive DLC contents, and a patch.

Collector’s Edition without Game

However, a further Collector’s Edition of the shooter has now been announced through the US store of Amazon, which is significantly cheaper – because it does not include a game. The version is released in the same large packaging as the regular Collector’s Edition with the same collector items – just without the game. For this, you pay 129.99 US Dollars. But who would buy a Collector’s Edition of a game that does not even include the game itself for almost 130 dollars?

There are many collectors for whom the contents of a Collector’s Edition are more important than the actual game. Perhaps some gamers find the carrier pigeon capsule or the statue great, but would never really play Battlefield 1. Then one thinks twice about whether to spend the 209.99 Euros. One could now sell the game from the edition on Ebay, but there is no guarantee that one would get a good price for it.

If a version is now being released that only offers the collector’s items without the game at a lower price, then some collectors will surely jump at the chance.
