Battleborn is still not a success for Gearbox and publisher 2K, but still the developers are not throwing in the towel. They continue to work on new heroes as well as the already announced story missions. But also two new PvP maps are in the works.
Battleborn will soon receive the long-awaited story missions. The first of these new PvE missions is set to go live on October 13. The title: “Attikus and The Thrall Rebellion”. It focuses on the backstory of the hero Attikus, who frees his enslaved Thrall brothers from the chains of the Jennerites. All story missions will revolve around the story of a hero and delve deeper into the lore.
Therefore, story mission number 2 is also about the cute penguin Toby who craves recognition. The title “Toby’s Friendship Raid” already whets the appetite for more. This mission is set to release in autumn, and three more missions are planned for winter. However, the story missions are not free; those without a season pass will have to pay 5 dollars each. But along with the mission itself, there are also new skins and taunts to unlock.
Free PvP Maps and More Characters
If you don’t want to pay anything, you can look forward to the two new PvP modes. The first is called “Face Off” where two teams compete to stop an invasion of the Varelsi. The goal is to kill more invaders than the other team. A cheerful “Every-man-for-himself” scenario! However, not much is known about the second mode. Face Off is expected to be released in autumn.
As we previously reported, two new characters are still on the way. After the bomb sparrow Ernest has already been released, the brat Kid Ultra has been announced as a new hero for the faction of the Last Light Consortium. He is expected to arrive in autumn as well. The last hero, likely a Jennerite, will come in winter.
