Fans of high-end graphics will probably be horrified by BRUH.io’s pixel aesthetics. For everyone else, it presents a pleasantly simple game of rough pixels that doesn’t require extensive instructions. A handful of keys are explained, then you choose a server and one of eight skins: Boom, you can jump in without registration.
However, registration is necessary for those who want to save their progress and compare their high scores with others.
An eternal cycle
When your game is running on the chosen server, you start as a ghost. You can walk around observing, passively participating in the rest of the skirmish. You also become a ghost when you die in BRUH.io.
When the next game starts, you are automatically added and herded together with opponents into a hall where you can practice shooting. Then, finally, it begins and you spawn in a random location on the map.
From now on, the goal is to quickly take out enemies and be on guard because the enemy can lurk anywhere! In the end, there can only be one: the “Last Man Standing”!
“PUBG” browser game: BRUH.io: Simple, yet entertaining
Although you start with a mundane pistol, you can equip yourself with better weapons scattered on the street in BRUH.io. There are 12 different guns in the game, and whether it’s a rifle, shotgun, or sniper, each weapon has different advantages. The shotgun deals more damage, the sniper increases visibility, and others have a higher fire rate. Also, med kits are available along the way.
No, BRUH.io is not complicated or demanding – and it doesn’t aim to be. While you can somewhat deduce where someone is based on the gun sounds, those who remain in motion and cleverly hide behind cover will have an advantage. However, extensive tactical understanding is not required.
It’s about quick fun in between. This is reflected in the short matches that last five to seven minutes. The brevity is enforced by the map shrinking over time. Moreover, the map is filled with so many beautiful details that it’s worth just looking around. I’m waiting for the Easter edition…

The developers see themselves as hobbyists, as revealed by the Twitter profile of Sam Stiles. He also has a clear answer to the question of why the game is called BRUH: “Bruh is a silly word that I just like!” Simple. Just like the game itself.
