Attention Batman fans: Some top titles are currently discounted on Steam, which may be due to the upcoming release of a new series.
What series is it about? A new series called The Penguin starts on HBO Max in a few days, focusing on Batman’s nemesis, the Penguin, and currently receiving very good reviews. In our country, the mini-series will be available via Sky Atlantic and WOW, starting on September 20, 2024.
The series is a spin-off of the 2022 film The Batman featuring Robert Pattinson as the caped crusader. In this movie, the Irish actor Colin Farrell already appeared as the villain Penguin. His real name is Oswald Cobblepot. The character was previously portrayed by Danny DeVito in Batman Returns in the early 90s.
It seems that the fast-approaching start of the new series was a reason for Warner Bros. to heavily discount some of the best games from the Batman universe on Steam.
Batman at its best on Steam
Which games are on offer? The sale on Steam bears the Penguin’s name and face, even though unfortunately there is still no title solely dedicated to the eccentric villain. Instead, you can currently secure some top games on Steam for little money until September 22, 2024.
Particularly noteworthy is the Arkham series from developer Rocksteady:
- Arkham Asylum (GOTY Edition) is reduced by 80% and costs €3.99
- Arkham City (GOTY Edition) is reduced by 80% and costs €3.99
- Arkham Knight is reduced by 85% and costs €5.99
You can buy the three games individually or in the Arkham Collection – here you only pay €8.99 for the entire trilogy. The series is among the best comic adaptations of all time.
If you prefer to fight with other superheroes without delay, you can take advantage of the offer for Injustice 2. In this game, currently available for €5.99, you will face off against other heroes from the DC universe in classic fighting game style.
Additional offers:
- Gotham Knights: €11.99 (-80%)
- Lego Batman Trilogy Pack: €4.99 (-90%)
- Watchmen: The End is Nigh Bundle: €2.99 (-70%)
If you want to increase your excitement for the new Penguin series, the games where you have to face off against the villain are just the right thing for you. And even if you have no interest in the series, Arkham City and others should entertain you for many hours. By the way, a new Batman game was announced at the Summer Game Fest – which caused disappointment.
