Baldur’s Gate 3 continues to bring patches that are supposed to stabilize the gaming experience for all adventurers. However, this very help results in the opposite for many players as their mods break.
What has Larian released? A new update in Baldur’s Gate 3 includes Hotfix 35, which primarily focuses on addressing crashes in the game across platforms, as well as improving performance on the Steam Deck.
However, the bug fixes from the new patch are causing more problems than help for a large portion of players. Fans of mods have to do a lot of additional work before they can continue playing without worries.

What do some players need to take care of? Players who like to rely on mods in their gameplay to expand and modify their experience in the game have to take care of a lot of additional updates before they can continue with their modified save file. These need to be brought up to date in order to run on the current version of Baldur’s Gate 3.
Those who are currently playing a modified version should take the time to update these mods or avoid the new update, as the game may otherwise not function as intended. While this is frustrating extra work, it has always been the case with mods.
What do the patch notes include? The new patch does not include any new content updates, as was the case in Patch 8. This was part of the last major update that brought 12 new subclasses, a photo mode, crossplay between platforms, and two new evil endings to the game. Larian is now focusing on their next projects, but will continue to ensure that their successful Baldur’s Gate 3 is supplied with patches.
