A new ending of Baldur’s Gate 3 has been revealed. It is so dark that even the darkness struggles to recover from it.
The fans of Baldur’s Gate 3 are waiting for the release of the major “Patch 7”, which brings a lot of new features. In addition to official mod support for consoles, there are also improvements to the split-screen mode. However, the highlight will probably be the numerous new evil endings that you will be able to achieve.
One of them has already been partially shown by the developers and will likely please all fans of the Dark Urge, as it presents a dark conclusion to the story.

What kind of ending is this? On X, the developers showed a somewhat longer sequence from a new ending. The “Dark Urge” is seen, apparently immediately after the final confrontation with the Netherbrain. Instead of destroying the brain, the Dark Urge has taken control over the cult of the Absolute. He exerts this control and forces his former companions to step to the edge – and then take the final step beyond. The companions plunge into the abyss and will likely meet their demise.
But that’s not where it ends. The narrator speaks and explains: “Time for the final act. Your tragedy has become that of humanity.” Subsequently, the Dark Urge also plunges into the depths. Bhaal would probably be proud.
How the community reacts: In the Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddit, the new clip is being discussed enthusiastically, even though the opinion is relatively clear. Most are thrilled with the dark endings so far and receive much support for their comments:

When will Patch 7 be released? Patch 7 will be the final major update for Baldur’s Gate 3 and is set to be released in September, just a few weeks away. Then veterans will likely have several reasons to return to the game again. In addition to the new endings, there will also be new legendary abilities for bosses and many improvements, that will make the overall gaming experience smoother.
