Funcom increases the price for the Xbox One preorder version of the survival RPG Conan Exiles. If you want to get the game at the lower price, you should act quickly.
Currently, the preorder version of the online game Conan Exiles for Xbox One costs around 35 dollars. However, as Funcom has now announced, the price will increase to 50 dollars. The developers justify this by stating that the scope of the game has significantly increased. Also, the previous price was only for the “Game Preview”.
The price should be increased anyway
As a small compensation, Funcom will soon reduce the game to 17.50 dollars for a short time. So, if you want to experience Conan Exiles at a discount on Xbox One, you should act quickly then. The offer is valid from December 8 to 10. Afterwards, the price will be 50 dollars.
Funcom explains that it was the plan from the beginning to increase the price of the game at launch. After all, players will then have significantly more content than at the beginning of the early access phase. This includes an area that is twice as large as it was at the beginning, where you can experience much more content.
Price of the PC version remains the same
The new price of around 50 dollars also applies to the PlayStation 4 retail version. This will be released at a yet-to-be-announced time after the release versions for PC and Xbox One. An early access phase is not planned for Sony’s console.
The higher price is said to ensure that Conan Exiles can be continuously supplied with additional content in the future. For the PC version, players do not have to pay more, the previous roughly 30 euros remain, which is due to the fact that this version is only available in very limited quantities in regular retail.
The official launch of Conan Exiles is planned for the second quarter of 2018. A new update is already in development, which introduces a story for the online game.
