Currently, it is a golden age for gamers, as one major release follows another. The zombie co-op shooter Back 4 Blood is basically at the doorstep. The official release is still a few days away, but early access begins next week.

For which platforms is Back 4 Blood released? Back 4 Blood will be available for both the current and last console generations. All available platforms are:
- PlayStation 4
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox One
- Xbox Series X|S
- PC: Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store
Additionally, Back 4 Blood will be included in the Xbox Game Pass at release.
What game versions are available for Back 4 Blood? In total, there are 3 different versions of Back 4 Blood, each with different contents and prices. Here’s a brief overview of the versions, with the prices from the Steam Store:
- Back 4 Blood Standard: The normal version of the game costs 60 € and corresponds to the base game without any bonuses.
- Back 4 Blood Deluxe Edition: This version costs 90 € and includes in addition to the base game:
- Season Pass with 3 content drops (DLCs) that bring additional campaigns, new special infected, and characters.
- Back 4 Blood Ultimate Edition: This version costs 100 € and includes in addition to the base game:
- Season Pass with 3 content drops (DLCs) that bring additional campaigns, new special infected, and characters.
- 4 “Battle Hardened” skins for some characters.
- Additional cosmetic items in the form of a banner, an emblem, a spray, and a title.
Additionally, pre-orderers – regardless of which version – will receive a special skin pack for their weapons, the “Fort Hope Elite Skin Pack”.
Do you really need the expensive version? No! The DLCs work in a special way in Back 4 Blood. As long as one group member owns the DLCs, all others can also play and experience the new content. So, if you always play with a fixed group, it suffices if one of your teammates buys the DLCs when they come out.
When is the early access? The early access for Back 4 Blood starts 4 days before the official release – at least if you got an ultimate or deluxe edition.
- For PlayStation, Xbox, and Windows Store, the early access begins on 07.10.2021 at 1:00 PM our time.
- For Steam and the Epic Games Store, early access begins on 07.10.2021 at 5:00 PM our time.
When is the official release? The official release will take place worldwide on October 12. A precise time has not been mentioned yet. As soon as there is a fixed time, we will enter it here.
