Indigo Islands

The Indigo Island is located off the coast of the continent Kurzan in the Sea of Gienah. It has an incredibly beautiful underwater landscape and can be explored by players starting from item level 1600. On the Indigo Island, there will be a quest you need to complete to enter the single-player dungeon “Sea Cave,” which includes three paths.

You can start the quest and the dungeon on the Indigo Island after you interact with the quest “Someone’s Voice” near the access point to the island. Upon successful completion, you will receive “Glowing Coral Stone,” which you can exchange for progression materials including strong elixirs (using silver instead of gold) and more – so you definitely don’t want to miss this new island.

The dungeon splits when you reach a three-way fork at the entrance. Initially, you can only enter the left path. After completing the dungeon multiple times, you can take a different path. The dungeon can be completed once a day per party and can be entered as long as the boss has not been defeated and the rewards have been granted. The Indigo Island also includes:

  • 5 Mokoko Seeds
  • Indigo Island Heart
  • 2 new achievements
  • 5 new buildings you can earn through island trading
  • Soundtrack of the Indigo Island

Bound Gold System

With bound gold, players can now receive gold that can only be used in progression systems. Two current systems are being updated to grant bound instead of “tradeable” gold: the gold reward chests from Una’s Tokens, as well as solo mode raids.

We are very excited about the opportunities that bound gold gives you, and we continue to look for ways in which we can reward players with gold and promote their progression without negatively affecting the in-game economy. Bound gold can be used in the following systems:

  • Equipment Enhancement
  • Advanced Enhancement
  • Quality Upgrade
  • Legion Commander Equipment Crafting
  • Set Effect Upgrade
  • Skill Stone Upgrade
  • Elixir Crafting and Processing
  • Fortress Research
  • Knowledge Transfer
  • Bonus Rewards
  • Gold Exchange Store
  • Purchase of Ancient Sound Stones
  • Transcendence
  • Fortress Crafting (Farm Only)

In systems that accept all three types of gold, the order is: bound gold first, then gold security deposit, and finally tradeable gold.

Adjustments to Bound Gold in Solo Mode

With the introduction of bound gold, the gold granted through solo mode raids is converted into bound gold. The amounts are increased to better support player progression. You can find the exchange values in the table below.

Chaos Dungeon Purification System

Chaos dungeons will receive a new mission system called “Weekly Purification.” When you play chaos dungeons with active aura of resonance, you can earn weekly purification points. These points are collected and earn you reward chests.

Silver and Honor Fragments that you receive from chaos dungeons are removed in the purification system and replaced with fixed reward chests which contain them. Per chaos dungeon run, players can increase the purification meter by 50 points, which, with 6 runs per week, gives a maximum of 300 points. The calm bonus does not affect the purification points.

This system works similarly to Una’s Tokens and is meant to avoid exhaustion by giving players more flexibility about when they play their chaos dungeons during the week. The introduction of this change will be accompanied by a special event to further enhance the rewards received. You can find more about this in the patch notes under the “Events” section.

The developers of Lost Ark are already working on a new MMORPG – here is the trailer:

Adjustment of the Ebony Cubes

There will be some small changes to speed up the completion of ebony cubes. For example, the TP of enemies will be adjusted to the number of players.

Purification Event in Chaos Dungeon

The release of the chaos dungeon purification system will be accompanied by a special purification event in the chaos dungeon. The event will take place from August 14 to September 25; however, the chaos dungeon purification system will continue even after the event ends. During the event, you will receive bonus reward chests upon reaching 100, 200, or 300 purification points. The chests contain enhancement materials corresponding to the level of the completed chaos dungeon, such as destruction/extermination stones, guardian/protection stones, and class-3 jump stones. Additionally, each chest contains purification tokens that you can exchange in the event store for additional rewards like transcendence restoration tickets, support enhancement chests, fusion materials, and more.

How do you rate Lost Ark’s somewhat calmer approach? Are you excited about the upcoming content? Let us know in the comments! By the way, we had the opportunity in May to ask Amazon Games some questions: Player fatigue remains an issue in Lost Ark, but they have almost caught up with the Korean version.
