A Week of Open Beta for Atlas Reactor
Turn-based strategy has somewhat fallen out of fashion in recent years. Really? Not at all! Atlas Reactor proves that you can breathe new life into turn-based games by combining them with ideas from newer genres. Thus, Atlas Reactor is an exciting mix of MOBA and strategy game, where much is about “mind games” – anticipating the opponent’s moves while simultaneously misleading the enemies.
Until now, Atlas Reactor was only accessible to founders and select beta testers, but from July 8 to July 17, anyone interested can experience the Open Beta for free and get a personal impression of Trion Worlds’ latest project. During the event, all heroes, the so-called “Freelancers” are available and can be freely tested by players. After the event, the Closed Beta will continue as usual.

Just recently, Atlas Reactor expanded its leveling system with “Loot Matrices,” through which you can receive various cosmetic upgrades: Skins, quotes, and various emblems. Yes, that sounds a bit like the loot boxes from Overwatch, but such a system was still missing from the game.
In the past few weeks, the first new heroes have already been added to further round out the available ensemble of the cyberpunk world and provide players with greater choice.
