While the market for new MMORPGs is relatively quiet here, they are being released continuously in South Korea. Well, not really continuously, but certainly at a much higher frequency than in the West. Especially “action MMORPGs” with dynamic combat systems and a high grind factor are very popular.

Since last week, “Asker” by Neowiz has been in open beta. Neowiz is also the publisher for the action MMORPG Bless. During the last quiet period, some fans were already concerned that Neowiz might focus too much on Asker.
Asia specialist Steparu has taken a look at Asker. For him, it’s a game like Dragon Nest crossed with the dynamic combat system of Vindictus. One goes to get a series of quests, then enters a dungeon, gradually completes them, and starts again from the beginning.
