The next phase of the alpha of Ashes of Creation is starting soon, and the developers have already introduced the 3 new races that you will be able to play.
What is this next phase? The development of the new MMORPG Ashes of Creation is progressing steadily. Currently, the successful project is in its second alpha phase, which can be played five days a week. Two days of the week, the servers are still offline and being maintained by developers.
Starting on August 4, 2025, the third phase of the alpha for Ashes of Creation will begin. From then on, the MMORPG will be online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week like a regular live service game, as long as no new patch along with maintenance takes place.
Several big and small innovations will enter the game with this major update. Among them are three new races that you can use to customize your character.
Three New Races
What are these new races? In Ashes of Creation, the new races Py’Rai and Niküa will be added starting August 4. The third race, the Ren’Kai, is to be introduced with an update during Alpha 3.
Py’Rai: Masters of the Hidden Realm
The Py’Rai are a mysterious race living deep in secluded forests. They are protectors of nature and live in harmony and symbiosis with it. As a result, they can become almost invisible to outsiders. Their villages blend perfectly into nature without destroying it.
In appearance, they resemble humans but have antlers made of wood and branches with leaves protruding from their bodies.
Niküa: Children of the Dreaming Mountains
Niküa means “the dreamers” and describes the race that descends from the volcanic peaks of a tropical paradise. They are descendants of a large dwarf migration and prefer to settle in coastal mountain ranges. Over generations, they have developed into a matriarchal society of experienced divers and gold seekers who derive their wealth from riverbeds and ocean depths.
In appearance, the Niküa look very similar to typical dwarves. Their small stature is compensated by their thick muscular builds, and tattoos as well as proud beards characterize their look.
Ren’Kai: Honor Forged by Reform
The Ren’Kai have a long history in the world of Ashes of Creation. Over centuries and many reform processes, the race has landed in a highly developed feudal system based on honor, duty, and mutual loyalty. They do not fight to conquer lands but to change the world according to their views.
Visually, the Ren’Kai most closely resemble orcs, exhibiting green skin, pointed ears, and prominent tusks. In contrast, their well-groomed hair and clothing show that the race has evolved beyond mere conquerors.
